 The main feature of the Edge is its efficiency mode. It gives a boost up to the browser and with that it could enhance the battery life and also limit the resource usage.

 With this feature, the browser automatically sends the background tabs to sleep mode after a time of inactivity. It is better to use Efficiency Mode to improve your system’s battery and RAM usage. With this feature, Microsoft Edge can perform lighting fast searches.

 There are mainly a couple of ways to do this.

        1.Enabling It Through Edge Toolbar.

  •       Open Microsoft Edge.
  •       Tap on the three dot icon on the top left of the screen.
  •       Tap on the ‘Settings’ option.
  •       Select ‘Appearance Tab’
  •       Find ‘Select which buttons to show on the toolbar’ menu.
  •       Turn on the option for ‘Performance Button’
  •       Now a heart icon will be found on the toolbar.
  •       By clicking on it you can turn on the Efficiency mode or you can even adjust it to automatically change whenever the browser is in use.

       2.Through the Edge Settings.

  •       Open Microsoft Edge.
  •       Tap on the three dot icon on the top left of the screen.
  •       Tap on the ‘Settings’ option.
  •       Select ‘System and Performance’ from the side bar.
  •       Go to the ‘Optimize Performance’ session.
  •       Select the ‘Turn on efficiency mode when’ option.
  •       Select a time option from the drop down menu.

 With the same steps you can turn off the Efficiency mode when you want. That is from the performance button or through the settings, you can disable the Efficiency mode. Just select ‘Never’ from the enabled ‘Performance Button.’
